I'm a 51-year-old divorced woman. I was married for 22 years and have been single since April 2004. I used to be a microbiologist, but became a full time mom in 1986. I'm planning to go back to work now that my children are growing up - perhaps as a microbiologist again, or perhaps as something else.

I have 4 children: one daughter age 31, and three sons ages 21,17,and 13. I have 3 grandchildren, all from my daughter. My daughter and grandchildren live with her husband in Seattle. My oldest son is in the Coast Guard and is currently stationed in San Diego, although he is away at sea 50% of the time.

I have always lived in the same area where I live now, but I have done a lot of traveling in Mexico, Canada, the USA (including Hawaii, Alaska, and most of the mainland states), and Europe.
